Clinical Studies

Along with medical progress comes the continual development of new and better therapies for allergic overreactions.

Challenge Chamber

In the challenge chamber study participants can be exposed to different air-borne allergens. The challenge chamber system enables monitoring of allergic reactions as well as assessing the impact of treatments under controlled and reproducible conditions that are independent of environmental influences.

The challenge chamber is designed for up to 20 patients. A glass wall that separates the chamber from the rest of the office and an intercom system facilitate communication with the study participants.

Climatic conditions are controlled very strictly in this enclosed chamber, into which the relevant allergen is evenly distributed through a ventilation system. The allergen concentration in the chamber is continually ascertained and kept constant throughout the provocation session. Thus it is possible to achieve reproducible data of highest quality.
